Clean Copy is a browser extension developed by Moorish Technologies that copies selected text to your clipboard with all formatting removed. This policy explains how the extension handles your data.

Data Collection

Clean Copy does not collect, store, transmit, or share any personal data or user information. No analytics, tracking, or telemetry of any kind is included.

How the Extension Works

When you trigger Clean Copy (via keyboard shortcut or context menu), the extension reads the text you have selected on the current page, strips its formatting, and writes the plain text directly to your clipboard. This operation happens entirely within your browser. The selected text is never sent to any server.

Permissions

The extension requests the following permissions solely to perform its core function:

• activeTab — to access the currently active tab when you invoke the extension, so it can read your selected text.
• scripting — to inject a small script into the active tab that retrieves your selected text and writes it to the clipboard.
• contextMenus — to add a right-click menu option for triggering the extension.
• storage — to save your preferences (such as badge duration and shortcut hint visibility) locally in your browser.

None of these permissions are used to collect or transmit data.

Third Parties

Clean Copy does not use any third-party services, SDKs, or analytics tools. No data is shared with any third party.
